Retrospective/Back Dated Valuations

A common question we get asked in an enquiry into retrospective valuations is - how does the valuer know what the property was worth if the date is in the past?

Our experienced valuers will analyse the property in question including built year and type, condition (as accurate as possible to the date), position in the street and its proximity to amenities, zoning, and internal and external living areas, creating a property profile. They then research sales evidence from around the required date you provide us to give a market valuation as at this date, based on the market conditions at that time, reflected by the sales that occurred.

All our valuers work according to the rules and standards set by the government and local authorities, and comply with the rules and regulations for valuers as set out by the API, to provide a sworn valuation that is both accurate and informative.
